Malcolm Swing was born in Lucknow in 1924. He taught art at Woodstock and has retired as an art professor in Canada.

In the center is a ridge with other boarding schools, to the right the "new" extension of the Rajpur- Mussoorie motor road, the Doon Valley with the Song River (left) which later joins the Ganges, and the Jumna River (center) which continues on past the Siwalik hills.
